First, let me say that I am very happy that you are on the left, and that you want to save the world. I am with you 100%. But I also agree that your radicalism is a dangerous folly of youth. The world has never been in worse shape. Overpopulation, destruction of earth's environment, climate change, Trump and his boys laying waste to every process, system, law and his assault on civilization and decency. What is needed now is steady leadership for generations to begin to repair the damage. Anyone looking for quick fixes will lead us in dangerous directions. We need to do the very hard work of rebuilding our society and the world. Which problem do you think can be solved without many years of steady social democratic leadership: Providing an excellent and broad secular education to every citizen of the US and the world? Providing a first class and fair healthcare system for every citizen? Fixing immigration in the US by balancing the strategic needs of the country with our desires for kindness and fairness? Changing the tax code to balance the needs for innovation and jobs with fairness, and rebuilding the IRS to stop widespread tax fraud by the wealthy? Reversing climate change? Preserving the environment in the US and globally? Balancing the needs of all countries for fair global trade? Fixing our criminal justice system and policing? Any of 100 other huge issues? This will all require bright, serious people willing to work diligently and cooperatively for compromise over many years. This all begins by voting Blue in this election. If you care, just get to work --- there is enough to be done for 100 lifetimes. The Republicans have been destroying and dismantling the country and the world for many years. I am very happy to see a young idealistic person who cares --- we need hundreds of millions just like you. But remember that fixing anything is very difficult and time consuming, and will require creativity, compromise and cooperation.
