There are about 20 billionaires who control all of the right wing media, with all of it's lies, propaganda, mis-information, and exaggeration. The people that you are upset with (the very large "basket of deplorables") are not necessarily bad people, but they have been told over and over again what to believe, and who is at fault for all problems (real or imaginary). These people are not necessarily scholars, nor are they curious or skeptical enough to read other books or articles, or to fact check what they are being told.

To make matters worse, billionaires support the Heritage Foundation, the Federalist Society and dozens of other right wing think tanks and organizations that are focused on implementing far right strategic plans, and which carefully organize the destruction of our country from within. The horrible Supreme Court decision "Citizen's United" allowed dark money to flood politics, which was another huge step backwards.

My point is that the MAGA crowd did not develop organically --- everything about them has been carefully orchestrated by right wing think tanks, and Christian Nationalist organizations. In the words of Mongo --- they are simply "pawns in the game of life".

The very strange thing is that right wing people (Republicans, MAGA, etc.) are trying to destroy government just when we need it the most. We are passing peak everything, and for the next hundred years, everything will decline (oil, gas, population, economic activity, etc etc). Without an intelligent, functioning government, this transition will be very ugly indeed, and 100 years from now, the remaining humans will be living mostly as they did in the 1700's.
