Well, I agree with many things that the author said, and with many of the commenters. EVs definitely will make a huge contribution to reducing fossil fuel consumption, but they are only one piece of a huge pie. It is clear that our electrical production capabilities are currently inadequate. We need to add much more solar, wind, geothermal, wave and particularly nuclear energy. We also need to force energy conservation. Re-designing roads and cities to allow movement by foot, bicycles, scooters, golf carts, etc. is important. Improving and adding mass transit. Requiring houses to be more energy efficient, teaching energy conservation in public schools, on and on and on. We need to take action on as many of these items as we can, and we need EVs.

I drive a Mustang Mach E. It is the best driving car I have ever owned, and I love never buying gas. But I realize that this is just one piece of a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle. Sill it is a wonderful piece.
